These terms apply to all services operated by bearcove SARL, including bearcove.eu, wat.rs, and fasterthanli.me.

Agreement

By using our services, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the services.

What we provide

wat.rs (Quiz Platform)

  • A platform for creating and hosting interactive quizzes
  • Live multiplayer quiz sessions
  • Question submission and moderation tools
  • Optional paid tiers with additional features

fasterthanli.me (Blog & Content)

  • Technical articles and videos about Rust and systems programming
  • Early access to articles for sponsors
  • A community of readers and supporters

Accounts

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account
  • You're responsible for keeping your credentials secure
  • One account per person (no account sharing or farming)
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms

Acceptable use

Don't:

  • Submit spam, offensive content, or illegal material
  • Attempt to cheat, game, or manipulate quiz systems
  • Use bots or automated tools without permission
  • Harass other users or moderators
  • Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
  • Circumvent anti-abuse measures
  • Resell or redistribute paid content

Do:

  • Be respectful to other users
  • Report bugs and security issues responsibly
  • Follow moderator instructions

Content you submit

When you submit content (quiz questions, comments, etc.):

  • You retain ownership of your content
  • You grant us a license to display, store, and moderate it
  • You confirm it doesn't violate anyone else's rights
  • We may remove content that violates these terms

Paid services

Subscriptions

  • Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually via Stripe
  • Prices are in euros and include applicable VAT
  • You can cancel anytime from your account settings

Refunds

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time
  • We offer refunds for the unused portion of your subscription period
  • Contact hi@bearcove.eu for refund requests

Sponsorships (Patreon / GitHub Sponsors)

  • Sponsorship benefits are provided on a best-effort basis
  • Early access content is for personal use only
  • Sponsor names may be displayed publicly unless you opt out

Disclaimers

The services are provided "as is." We don't guarantee uninterrupted availability, that the services will meet your specific needs, or that content is accurate or error-free. We're a small team doing our best.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, bearcove SARL is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, loss of data, profits, or business opportunities, or damages exceeding the amount you paid us in the past 12 months. This doesn't affect your statutory rights as a consumer in the EU.

Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Lyon, France.
